About You and the Role
A terrific opportunity for an individual with a passion for food and for engaging with children to achieve our mission (above). Driving innovative engagement initiatives are fundamental aspects of this role.
The successful candidate will work with our management team and the schools’ teams, to establish a comprehensive added value engagement programme with our stakeholders – principally pupils and parents but also staff, visitors and others in our wider community.
You must understand the importance of school meals in children’s lives and want to make a difference.
As well as impressive communication and relationship building skills, you will be digitally minded, with good grasp of current trends and digital engagement techniques.
You will be joining a dynamic organisation that is passionate about delivering an exceptional education, alongside sourcing fresh ingredients from local suppliers and quality food preparation, food service and food education.
Your role is critical to ensure pupils leave school knowing that healthy eating, delivered sustainably, is as important as core learning subjects and as enjoyable as the many extracurricular activities we offer.

Key responsibilities include:
- To work with Holroyd Howe’s Director of Catering, Horoyd Howe Catering Manager and St Dunstan’s Director of Estates & Commercial Activities and Director of Marketing, Admissions and Communications to develop and execute a school engagement plan with key stakeholders e.g. pupils, parents and staff
- Develop approaches to support the development of a holistic, whole school approach to healthy eating strategies
- Act as a collaborator and key influencer – a driver of change for a healthy and responsible school food culture
- To develop new ways to integrate food and catering services with college life that will facilitate a strong rapport with pupils in particular
- Create and support links between the school curriculum and our catering services, ensuring school food becomes a learning opportunity with high levels of participation
- Engage pupils in participatory activities to develop imaginative ways of changing and sustaining healthy eating behaviours
- Develop creative work to involve parents to support the improved healthy eating amongst their children
- Lead meetings with Senior Leadership teams to sell in and implement engagement programmes
- Maintain accurate data records to demonstrate participation and engagement benefits
- Experience in Marketing and pupil engagement and enrichment.- Essential
- Ideally have experience working within Education catering
- Have a progressive career to date
