Education and Skills – Building Bright Futures
Our Behaviour Support Service is looking for a dedicated Secondary Behaviour Support Mentor to join them to help play a key role in supporting students who are at risk of disengagement or exclusion from school.
The Service provides direct support to secondary school students, alongside school staff and the wider team, to enable them to manage their social and emotional needs, promoting inclusion and preventing exclusion from school.
As a Secondary Behaviour Support Mentor, you will conduct one to one mentoring sessions with students as needed, working closely with school staff and colleagues to help identify the social and emotional needs of individual students. You will attend and contribute to reviews and meetings as required, and work both individually and with groups of students to support their development.
We are looking for a dedicated and skilled Support Mentor who has a Higher National Certificate (HNC) or equivalent experience. Our ideal candidate will have experience working with young people, particularly those who need additional support to succeed in a mainstream environment. A solid understanding of relevant legislation and guidance is essential, as well as experience in conducting assessments and writing comprehensive reports.
If you are dedicated to supporting students, to enhance their educational experience, we would love to hear from you.
