About the role
Are you looking for a permanent, part time Social Worker role in an organisation committed to giving Social Workers the opportunity to progress while feeling safe in their practice?
If the answer is yes, then look no further than these exciting opportunities:
Adult and Autism Team: 21 hours a week based at Amundsen House in St Ives. There is a mix of office and home working in this role.
‘No two days are ever the same in the Adults and Autism Team, working with a wide range of individuals and situations. The work can be challenging and demanding but is ultimately rewarding, working to support individuals to develop their life chances. The team is supportive and knowledgeable, with people working together in a flexible way for the best outcomes for those we work with.’
Adult (18-65) Mental Health Huntingdon and Fenland Team: 22.5 hours based at either Agenoria House in Wisbech or at the Newtown Centre in Huntingdon. There is a mix of office and home working in this role.
‘The managers give you autonomy to be able to make decisions. They trust you as a Social Worker to know what’s best for the service users you work with’.
Learning Disability Partnership Huntingdonshire Team: 30 hours based at Scott House in Huntingdon. There is a mix of office and home working in this role.
You will be undertaking Social Care and Mental Capacity Act assessments, completing Safeguarding as well as care and support planning, to achieve better outcomes for the adults we support. Inquisitive and creative practice is embraced, to allow for personalised solutions, taking into account wider community resources and organisations. This isn’t just about delivering care, it’s about providing service users with choice and control of their lives and empowering independence.
The pandemic was a real challenge, maybe the hardest in our history, but we’ve advanced as a result.
- Offering a comprehensive Learning and Development programme, we provide opportunities to develop specialisms like Practice Educator and AMHP courses.
- We are a learning organisation, and we know that sometimes the best learning comes when you don’t get it right. We turn mistakes into positive learning experiences and are always supporting each other.
- We have committed to enhancing Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI). Having a diverse workforce is of the utmost importance especially in terms of shared learning, discussing caseloads and achieving the best outcomes for the people who use our services.
- We are currently working to a hybrid model, with part-remote and flexible options available in line with our service needs. This gives our Social Workers a quiet space and plenty of time for reflection. It has also increased our Social Workers autonomy and has a positive impact on wellbeing and work-life balance.
- We have supportive Team Managers to help facilitate a culture of trust and autonomy whilst supporting Social Workers to thrive in their roles.
We’ve changed a lot but one thing’s for sure, we still love Social Workers. Join us and be part of an authority that has accepted the challenge to constantly improve.
