Join our team as a Local Authority Designated Officer (LADO) and play a vital role in safeguarding children in Wiltshire.

As a LADO, you will offer professional consultation and advice to Senior Managers and key stakeholders on safeguarding policies and decision making. You will chair and coordinate complex multi-agency meetings to ensure that all allegations made against individuals working with children, whether in paid employment or voluntary roles, are reviewed and managed thoroughly and fairly.

This is a vital role for the service where you will also have the investigative oversight off the management of allegations, conduct thorough risk assessments in child protection cases, produce performance reports and lead on the development of risk management strategies in collaboration with stakeholders.

We are looking for a qualified Social Worker with a SWE registration and substantial experience in child protection and safeguarding legislation. This role requires candidates to possess strong leadership skills and ability to work collaboratively across agencies to ensure the safety and well-being of children.
