The Role and the Team

We’re looking for a Director of Brand and Communications to join our team. As a key member of our Senior Leadership Team, you’ll be responsible for our brand and campaign management, communications efforts, community engagement, and content production across all channels.

You’ll have a strong background in brand strategy, storytelling, and content management in a community-driven business with a proven track record of driving growth and engagement in a fast-paced environment.

What You’ll Do

  • Provide strategic leadership for brand, communications, community growth, and content production across the organization
  • Build upon our strong brand and work across the organization to expand our brand positioning with a member-first view
  • Develop and implement strategies to foster and grow our community of first responders through strengthening our brand position and growing our community of advocates
  • Leverage community and commercial insights to fuel word-of-mouth growth and enhance member engagement
  • Create and implement integrated marketing campaigns to drive user acquisition, engagement, and retention
  • Develop content and campaigns that encourage community interaction, share user stories, and highlight member experiences
  • Plan and deliver ATL campaigns to continue building and strengthening our brand and business KPIs
  • Oversee the strategy and production of high-quality, engaging content across various formats, including blog posts, articles, videos, social media updates, newsletters, and more
  • Develop and operationalise a content calendar to ensure timely and consistent delivery of content across channels and product experience
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive communications strategy to deliver high media coverage in top publications making us the authority in key topics
  • Partner with Data to set up measurement frameworks to understand brand health and impact of the team’s activities on overall business KPIs
  • Hire, coach, develop, and manage a growing team embracing our culture and values

What You’ll Bring

  • An experienced Director, manager and a team player that can operate well in a cross-functional environment with a proven track record of building teams and new capabilities
  • Previous experience in community engagement and user-generated content strategies in Consumer Tech, ideally in a community-first business
  • Expertise in brand management, communications, content creation and distribution and a track record in using brand, communications, and community engagement to drive significant improvements in business KPIs with a particular emphasis on user growth, retention, and engagement
  • Track record in delivering successful ATL campaigns, including TV, OOH, etc
  • Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills. Able to connect brand to business KPIs and measure the ROI of brand investments
  • Excellent communication skills, able to effectively story tell and connect with different segments of our community through different channels
  • Ability to think strategically and cohesively about our members’ experience throughout different marketing channels and product experience
  • Experienced at working with internal and external stakeholders in a successful way and building integrated approaches to collaboration


  • Previous experience in crisis communication and reputation management
  • Familiarity with GDPR compliance and ethical marketing practices
  • Experience with content personalization and segmentation techniques
