Overview
You will make a difference as a Community Learning Tutor being a frontline role to inspire and help adults to develop and improve their skills and knowledge, support them to gain good qualifications, empower them to play an active part in their learning and programme plan – something that can be truly life-changing.
We are specifically looking to recruit a Maths tutor.
What will I be doing?
- As well as being responsible for the teaching and learning in the classroom, you will undertake planning and preparation beforehand; record-keeping and evaluation afterwards.
- As a member of the Community Learning team, you will liaise with the Development Worker who has organised your course and take part in continuing professional development activities, including training sessions and support meetings.
- You will use a wide range of teaching methods and behaviour management strategies in order to maximise learning in the class.
