As part of our ambitious growth strategy, we are looking to appoint a Bid Manager to be based at our Leicester office. Joining a supportive network as part of a national team, you can expect to receive valuable training, guidance and genuine scope for career development.

 

You can expect to become involved in:

  • Projects within the commercial, education, and defence sectors amongst others.
 
 Your core duties will include:
 
  • Understanding all internal bid management processes and systems
  • Managing multiple concurrent tender opportunities, bid programmes and bid team inputs
  • Ensuring bids fully align to client question and marking criteria requirements
  • Recognising the need for supply chain input and overseeing the progression
  • Accurately assessing timescales and estimating the resources required, to execute a proposal and develop/manage proposal strategies
  • Identifying appropriate bid writers and technical contributors to support bids
  • Designing and completing storyboards and bid plans and briefing relevant contributors
  • Actively researching gaps in intelligence and managing appropriate plans
  • Writing technical and non-technical bid responses
  • Understanding and implementing the review process and tenders
  • Reporting on all aspects of proposals with knowledge and authority, including leading bid briefing, reviews and bid reporting

About You

You will be committed to enhancing our positive working culture, by having a compassionate attitude and always treating others with respect.
 

In order to be considered for this role, you must have: 

  • Significant experience in bid writing and bid management, including managing multiple tenders simultaneously
  • Ability to manage own time with various tasks and within deadlines
  • Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills
  • Ability to liaise effectively with Senior leaders within the business
  • Ability to identify areas for continuous improvement
  • Ability to commute to Leicester and work within the office environment for at least 3 days per week
 
In order to stand out from the crowd, it is desirable for you:
 
  • To have an APMP Foundation qualification
  • To have an understanding of the construction and property industry
  • To have experience of managing and supporting other members of the team
