Children In Care Service – Empowering Young Lives
Join our Dynamic Children in Care team, where you will play a pivotal role in shaping the service. Located in Chippenham, but with the ability to work hybrid, this position caters to the North region of the county.
Dedicated to improving the lives of looked-after children and meeting the unique needs of the most vulnerable, we received an ‘ Outstanding ‘ rating from Ofsted in September 2023, with positive inspection feedback for our service.
As an Assistant Team Manager, you will be instrumental in shaping a positive impact on families. Working closely with the Team Manager, you will manage and supervise a number of qualified Social Workers and you will be keeping the needs of vulnerable young people firmly at the heart of all you do. Your dedication will drive positive change and shape a brighter future for those in need.
We have a local offer for care leavers and ‘The Leaving Care Forum,’ complementing the Children in Care service, as we strive to enhance inclusion and participation for all our looked-after and care-experienced young individuals.
To qualify for this position, you need a social work qualification, registration with Social Work England, and experience in a leadership or supervisory role, with a level 4 management qualification being preferable. You will have at least 3 years’ experience of working in children and families’ social care.
Join us and unlock the potential for personal and professional growth, as you contribute to creating a supportive and empowering environment for both your team and the families we serve.
